Didn't see the news till I got off my shift...manager had some of us stay late tonight for clean up and stock rotation, those of us who weren't bothered going home after the siren. So I volunteered...need the 'overtime' hours anyway, if I'm going to get a good paycheck. And I got to see the stadium do a change-over for tomorrow's game!
You know it's really neat, how the bleachers fold back and the floor slides off to show the turf, and everything changes shape. They can put ice down for rink-games. They even tell me there's a bottom layer, under the grass, a pool that they use for swimming competitions! I don't even know if Charlie was kidding me or not, but it's really an amazing place, even after everything's over and all the fans are gone. People are actually filling up the bleachers, now that they're not scared of going out and blabbing the truth.
I've been selling the best on my section, because kids recognize me from the Net. I don't know what all these people are doing, watching my job-video, but some kid told me I'm kind-of like a celebrity. A famous person. Which is sort of ridiculous, since I've only been here a few weeks, and...that dumb video's something I'm not all so proud of anymore...but now I'm famous for having a lame video, like it's a good thing? I don't understand some people. Guess they like to have something to laugh at, and if I wasn't on the clock I'd make them sorry it was me. At least they think it's cool to take pictures with their NV phones and buy extra hot dogs from me, so maybe it's not a terrible thing, except that I'm pretty sure they'll just be mocking me to their friends. 'Dumb newcomer kid with his video, we found him in person today!'.
Anyway, so I read the news feed, and I saw some people got killed by newcomer-haters. Guess we'll have to be careful of suspicious people near the Towers.
Naminé, if you're ever going out for anything, and you need somebody to walk with, just let me know and I'll come with you, okay?
Oh, and Roxas...how are you doing with the job-hunt?
We've got a little less than two weeks on the apartment here, so it's time for me to start checking out other places to stay. Anybody know somewhere that's got cheap rent?
