Congratulations are still due. Hopefully, the standing liability and willingness of the courts to take it seriously will urge AGI to discontinue the use of lethal neurally-attached means of control altogether.

Not even livestock animals get restrained with lethal control methods. God willing, I just set a legal precedent.

Don't leave anything to the will of Gods.

I'm not. I'd just rather not have to prosecute another case like this one.

Nobody's made any attempts on my life at the office yet. Besides, the DA might be worried I'd sue for unlawful dismissal if they did try to get rid of me.

Unlike Mr. Edgeworth, who turned over quite easily.

[No, he's not bitter-]

And Miss Von Karma, who's dropped out of her career entirely.

Be fair. Edgeworth was asked politely to resign, and had reason to believe he might cause harm to other people at the prosecutor's office. Both he and Von Karma had their reasons.

I sincerely doubt anyone can throw their career away with "little" trouble.

She's blithe about most things, haven't you noticed?

She had her reasons as anyone else would.

I've found her quite serious, if spirited- She's...a little like Re-l, and me.

Then the blitheness is just an act, and one that I'm quite familiar with.

She's a good kid.

Kid! She's only a year younger than me, you know.

How could I have gone this long without calling you "kid," then?
