Yet another job search request

Hello, everyone. My name is Emma Frost, and I'm one of the recent arrivals here.

Like most new arrivals, I'm looking for a job. I've been a businesswoman, a teacher, a headmistress, and a bureaucrat in charge of education, often more than one of those at once. My educational experience at all levels includes training powers.

I also have experience with a variety of college and immediately post-college jobs, but given the set-up here, the only one of them that seems useful is waitress. I can do basic work with computers, electronics, and clothing repair and alterations.

I'm a telepath of over twenty years experience, with a specialty in precisionist work rather than high power. [OOC, and because there are a few people reading this who know: that's technically true, but while Emma is *better* at precision than at raw power, she is still *very* powerful.] I'm not a psychologist, and I make a point of not pretending to be one, but I'm a pretty good lay therapist and a very good mental technician for specific problems.

Or I can apply that to learning a job quickly, if someone is willing to let me into his or her mind to see what the job requires.

I was lucky enough to have friends already here, so I'm not desperate for a job. The complication comes in that I'd like to be available for my friends in case of emergency. It's not an absolute requirement - they've coped for months without someone designated to deal with emergencies. But I would be willing to take less money and/or do more work if I could find a job which didn't care about when I did the work as long as it got done. This could be part-time or full-time.

I could probably qualify as an accountant with a quick study of local laws. Are there flex jobs available for accountants here? Can I hang out a shingle as a telepath and give people who want to quit smoking an aversion to cigarettes? Does anyone want assistance opening or running a business and is willing to cope with someone who isn't always available?

Alternatively, if there aren't any jobs available that flexible, what places tip waitresses best, and are they hiring? Being a telepath makes me a very good waitress, both in learning the restaurant's tricks and techniques immediately and in always being there when the customer is looking for a waitress.
