Ah ... if you ran into Mrs. Ripley, I gather from old news that the effect lasts about a week. If it's something else - and with the city full of superpowers with a seasoning of mad scientists, it could be anything else - there's no telling.

That's foolish. They know full well what's been going on. Both Officer Mayer and Mr. Wayne have had the same problem.
