It's more like I feel like I'm witnessing a trend, although I would have a hard time summarizing it briefly.

I had my own club at home--sex and vampires sell. It beats working Nine-Till-Five; though how should I know, I never have.

If the concept appeals to them, then why not? That's the interesting thing about a niche market--win them once, and they will come time and time again, just because there's nowhere else to go.

I would think more people would be curbed by reflexive wariness, I guess.

Perhaps, but this is a city of people with superpowers. Wariness doesn't apply in quite the same way.

People are curious creatures.

Not at all, and I understand what you're getting at, but people are still curious, or adventurous, or simply live life on the edge. We get our fair share of the hopeless, too.

To imply I wasn't a predator would be to lie. But I meant simply down and outs. People looking to drown their sorrows, or perhaps to feel desired by something eternally beautiful for a short time.
