I mean, of course you did! I am still adjusting to the many styles here and presentation, so things aren't quite at their best yet. But you're welcome, and thank you for the response.

You're new as well, then? I'm glad to see you're adjusting quickly to life here.

Well, I wouldn't say 'quickly', but I am getting there. I am new, yes, so I'm afraid I can't really offer you any advice- I've moved many times in the past, but nothing was ever quite like this. You look the type that could fit in well enough.

Would you mind if I asked if you have any hobbies, Oruha?

Don't worry - I'm settling in well enough myself. I've already found myself a job and everything.

[she smiles]

I don't mind at all. My favorite hobby is singing.

[blondandperfect]

[Hattie looks taken aback.]

A job? Oh. That must be difficult. But otherwise that's good news!

[She clears her throat]

I've done a bit of singing, though where I'm from the elves primarily go professional with it. At home I used to run a fan club; as you can imagine that hobby doesn't carry over quite as well here.

So I do a little stitching and critiquing currently, but I mostly study current fashion.

Not really. I quite enjoy what I do, and I'm paid well for it. I just have to look into find a place a bit nearer to work, and I'll be all set.

[she laughs at that] What do you know, I'm a professional singer myself. I don't think I'll ever be good enough to have my own fan club, but it does sound like a fun hobby.

That sounds wonderful. If you do any more critiques, I'd love to hear them.

[And she's surprised yet again! There's a hint of uncertainty about Oruha's claim about enjoying work, but she can always ask about that later.]

Ooooh, I see. And is that right, a professional! Well, I wouldn't write off the possibility so quickly; I'll have to get back to you on that.

[She then smiles brighter]
