Hello? Hello? Wow... finally. I thought I'd never get through.
A few days ago I was making my way through the phone lines, like normal, when there was this sudden crazy glitch and everything went dead... you know, even for a ghost. I ended up stuck in a phone in this strange big, fuzzy-faced man's basement. No matter how I tried to dial out I couldn't, and to make matters worse, I couldn't find a way out of the basement. There was nowhere for me to go.
The fuzzy-faced man just sat on his couch all day, eating these orange chips and drinking green soda, pressing buttons on his computer while he talked to somebody through one of those... things that people wear on their heads, with the little fuzzy parts over their mouths? One of those. He yelled a lot and seemed to be speaking an entirely different language. I've never heard those words before, anyway. Something about "as-a-roth" and "ag-grow..." It might have been about dogs, because he mentioned a pug, too. I think his name was Jenkins.
Sometimes he'd turn on the TV and watch these shows with women who were wearing bathing suits, but I don't think he looked up from his computer screen for four minutes the whole time.
I was there for three days.
Finally, on the last day, he dropped a chip on the floor and I jumped to it. Unfortunately, he ate it while I was still inside. I'd never actually been eaten before, so I panicked a bit... and I think he must have heard me, then, because he took off the thing on his head. Then he started screaming and holding his ears and he threw the thing on the ground. I used the opportunity to escape, but I sort of knocked all his snacks off the table in the process. Meanwhile, the fuzzy-faced man was jumping around and screaming in fear. He ran up the stairs and I rode on his belt buckle to get out of the basement at last.
He kept going out the door while I went to the upstairs phone to make my escape. I heard his mother say he hadn't been outside in weeks. I guess he was stuck down there too... so I guess I ended up doing him a favor.
It just goes to show you, even when you're stuck, you can still be at the right place at the right time.
