[ She has to get in her shots somehow! Even if she knows Hattie's going to get back at her with some other command she doesn't want to carry out. Ella is amused all the same. ]
Not bad, not bad. [Soul gives a small shrug and a nonchalant wave of his hand.] The Core coughed up a couple of my friends this time around so I'm helping them get settled and working. This' my first day off in ages.
No kidding? [ Man, she wishes the Core had coughed up -her- friends instead of her worst enemy. ] That's great, Soul, I'm happy for you.
Don't overdo it though, okay? You don't want to end up making yourself sick - though I know you boys tend to be a hardy lot. Just relaxing for your day off?
Maka's the one who gets sick all the time. Should've seen her last time she got the flu. [His lips quirk a bit in his grin.] Makes me wonder if I should stock up on cough medicine since she's here now. [Soul taps his chin in thought.] Come to think of it I don't know if Crona gets sick either...
I've been working two jobs without a problem so far. The Purg should be hiring if you're okay with stuff like waitressing and that.
That would probably be a good idea. It's better to be prepared for your friends getting sick. Actually I have plenty of extra medicines at the house - much too much for the house. It'll save you a couple of dollars.
[ She smiles warmly. ] Of course I am. I've been working as a waitress the past few months at Club Zero - I kind of like it, so it'll be good to have a position I'm already familiar with. Assuming they do hire me. I'll contact the owner in a little while. Are both of your jobs full time or is one full and the other part time?
That'd be great, Ella, thanks. I'll bake you something in return, okay?
[He doesn't like getting something for nothing :|]
I work odd nights at the Purg and other mornings at Funtom. It's not bad since they counter each other and I get afternoons free. I've only made the mistake of doing BOTH shifts once so far, but it's an easy rhythm to get into.
[ She chuckles. ] Okay, that sounds like a fair trade. [ She's learned to just accept some trades, even though she didn't think anyone needed to give her anything in return. ]
That's not a bad schedule at all, actually. I'm glad you aren't overworking yourself. [ And an amused grin. ] That mistake, were you covering for someone?

[ And moving out to the balcony where it was quieter. ] That's better. How've you been?
