◕ ‿‿ ◕ | Third Contract | Video | ◕ ‿‿ ◕

[A white and fluffy, unnervingly cute face pops up on the network before a white paw stretches forward to push Kyubey's NV back so his entire form can be seen. He seems content enough, sitting on a plush pillow with a box of chocolates (They're Claude's. He gave them to him. How nice!) off to the side of him. That's nothing though - what should be strikingly different should be the fact he's wearing this. Yes. Uryuu got to him, it seems. The Quincy can be seen far off in the background, muttering to himself, fussing over fabric and the like.

Kyubey's far more focused on the chocolates.]

Someone once said 'Life is like a box of chocolates', but I beg to differ. I think it'd be a better comparison to equate them with humans in general - more specifically, humans and their souls.

[A chocolate is picked up - it's a plain one - and set out in front of him. Next, a caramel filled one is set beside it. His tail seems to swish back and forth as he shifts in his pink frilly outfit.]

Both are chocolates. Both are equally tasty and delightful, but one is lacking a filling, an interior, a soul, if you will, if we keep with the current metaphor. Some people become rather upset when they find out that their chocolates are lacking a filling, whether it be cherry or caramel or marshmallows. In the same light, humans become rather upset when they realize their souls are no longer within their bodies.

It's confusing, if not somewhat ironic. Most people have no idea where their soul is until they've lost it, it seems. Even then, they overreact when they find out it's no longer inside them. It isn't the body that makes a person who they are. It's what's inside that counts, right?

So then why does it matter where the soul resides, so long as a person still possesses it? It's not as if other can tell whether a chocolate is empty or not, that is, until they take a bite of it.

[The chocolates then find their way into his mouth. First the caramel one, then the plain chocolate truffle. His ears seem to twitch happily as he turns his head around. Uryuu seems to have finished his floundering in the background, for he soon approaches Kyubey from behind, picking him up under the arms like one would a cat. He seems, well, very excited.]

I have a blue and white one for you next! Do you think I should add a hole for your tail? - Ah, but there's also this yellow scarf and sweater combination you haven't worn yet! I wonder if I should add fringe...

[Kyubey just seems to blink slowly, but he seems content enough.]

A hole for my tail would be logical, of course.

[ooc: Blue is Uryuu, Black is Kyubey. Expect replies from both! c: Once again, Kyubey's Permission Post is here for those who haven't filled it out!]
