[Fred's NV is propped up on the table. Her hair is pulled back and she has a pen and a tablet in front of her. Clearly there's some sort of drawing, albeit poorly constructed Angel don't you dare try and draw a better one.]So I been thinkin', and yes, it's still about the core. We don't have much information on this thing, so we might as well start ( Read more... )

Yes, I do know how much radiation the Core is giving off.

[Submit text attachment with what he has observed of the Core along all the of the EM spectrum, as well as his notes on the behavior]

Why am I not surprised?

[Brb. Reading everything in like two seconds.] Interesting.

Well, there was concern about it leaking into the water supply.

Isn't it?

That's been resolved?

Not entirely. I fear what the next earthquake will bring. But they won't allow Newcomers to look at the Core.

So I've heard. So what are you doin' in the meantime?

Building things. Studying wormholes. Trying to find a way to solve the housing problem in Sector 10. Working at the Newcomer Clinic.

Wormholes? [Well that's peaked her interest.]

Mhm. I accidental opened one at home from a small African country to New York.

How... exactly?

[A nervous laugh.]

Compressing gravity?

That opened one? I've done it before using sounwaves. But gravity was also different there.

It did for me.

Soundwaves really? I'd love to see the math behind that one!

I don't have any of my old notes with me, but I did publish a paper on asymmetry in string theory, based off my experiences with travelling transdimensionally.

Do you think you could recreate that paper, at least in part, without your notes?

While this is my first transdimensional travel, it's well understood in certain circles in my world, and I've studied it.

I probably could, yeah.

It isn't in my world. I was really the first thaat talked about it.
