[The feed is partially obscured by discarded ties and at an odd angle where the NV’s been pushed aside but it’s easy enough to work out that it’s outside a row of changing room cubicles. Waiting by one of them is Tonegawa, who is tapping his foot impatiently and frowning.]

[He raps his fingers threateningly

[The reply comes about five or ten minutes later and when the video starts up again, he's back in his own clothes and looking very red faced.]

That's easy enough for you to say- you're always dressed like this. [faintly sulkily] It makes me look like some loser salaryman.

Only he- [he jabs his thumb over his shoulder, presumably at Tonegawa]- thinks that people are gonna flip their shit if I turn up to a job interview in jeans or something.

Well.. they might. Why don't you want to clean up well? There's nothing wrong with a different look now and then, is there?

... because it reminds me of all those waste of space salarymen I used to see on the trains in Tokyo. They had their nice, fancy suits and they weren't going anywhere. It was pathetic.

[A pause as he realises that that was almost heartfelt (gasp!) and then he adds:] And because it reminds me of guys like him.
