[The video is partially askew- tilted half away from where Aqua's standing; in what looks to be the middle of her room. She's forgone her usual attire for a her shorts and a t-shirt, using the lighter clothes to stretch in. Arms, legs, back, neck, rolling her shoulders and bending in a slow sort of pirouette. Anyone who'd seen her fight or train ( Read more... )

Wow, that's one big key miss. The way you made it disappear like that and the fact that it's a key reminds me a bit of exquiping combined with stellar spirit magic. Were you training?

Stellar.. spirit magic? [Headtilt] It's one of my Keyblades; I was more just stretching. Training would need a bigger space than my bedroom. [She chuckles]

Aye, well that kind of magic uses keys to open the gates to the spirit world to summon spirits. Exquipping is magic used to summon weapons or armor in and out of existence rapidly, depending on what kind of weapon you need for the circumstance. Sooo if it's a keyblade... I suppose it's a lot more like exquipping?

Ohhh, you're stretching while using your keyblade as... umm... counterbalance? How does a keyblade even work? It looks like a pretty cumbersome weapon.

Ah, I have something like that. It conceals my armor until I release it. My Keyblade is summoned though, but I suppose it's like Exquipping, too.

Ah, not exactly. I was just... testing something. Some of them can be heavy; a friend of mine uses much heavier Keyblades because he's a heavy hitter. Mine are lighter, built more for speed and agility. It's a weapon that can strike against the light and darkness within beings, their hearts. Or creatures without hearts, I suppose. But it works as a physical weapon, too.

Woooow, that sounds really complicated! So does this keyblade actually unlock things too? Or is it just a key because the creators like the design?

Hmm... light and darkness huh? That sounds like some pretty potent stuff your working with.

It's not really as complex as it sounds. [Sheepish laugh]

They can lock or seal the Lanes Between, keeping worlds safe or untraveled. And I suppose... it is, in a way. But there's light and darkness within everything. A balance that must be kept. Like Yin and Yang. If one side becomes too powerful, it could upset the balance of the worlds.

*sigh*

I've seen a bit of magic involving light and darkness. One of the most powerful magics in my world was supposed to exchange darkness for light, but because of the need for balance, for every being of dark it tried to convert to light, somebody else would be turned dark from it to maintain the balance. The entire civilization of peaceful people who created it and only wanted peace, self destructed, with their people killing each other. And the magic was sealed away so that it could never be used again, only to be rediscovered and used against some of my friends. So yeah, you could say I know a thing or two about how it could upset the balance.

Ah! Sorry I got a little bit melancholy there. I've just been missing my friends a lot more recently.

I don't think the light and dark works quite like that where I'm from, but... Things will always get out of hand if one side or the other gets too powerful, fights back too much... There can never be light without the shadows it makes. I think that balance would be everywhere, even here.

It's okay, don't worry. Is anyone you know here in the Port...? [Sympathyface]

Well yeah I suppose there is that. I mean, if you wanted absolute light, with no shadows, there would have to be nothing else but the light, and that would mean no people or anything either. And if you wanted absolute shadow, it wouldn't work because in order for there to be shadow, you'd need light. And if you had absolute darkness there would just be nothing so that wouldn't work well either, aye? At least... that's what I can make of it at least.

Well... I do have one... well I guess I'd call him a friend, but he and I have never really been on the best of terms. He's kind of a grumpy person, and he doesn't seem to like hanging out much.
