Ah...

Anger is such a troubling emotion, isn't it? Tends to cloud everything until the only light that can be seen is that glistening off a blade or barrel. [A soft laugh.] At least for some people.

I do hope no one else has felt such an all-consuming darkness... we have enough of that at night, don't we?

It calms sometimes. Shinji was able to calm my rage more than once. But the eye of the storm is always the calmest point.

Yes. The one point that is truly safe from it, where he can watch it rage if he wishes.

Disaster and chaos have their beauty. They're the natural order of the world, after all. Something to be handled with grace and respect, rather than fear and despair.
