Your only requirement is that they're nice and good?

[He noticed that list of names...]

I'd like to go.

Uh huh. Weddings are supposed to be nice and happy things...and Nana wants it to be a happy day so only nice and good people are allowed to come.

Really?

I hope it goes as planned. Your wedding should be the happiest day of your life, after all.

Mmhm. I'm a friend of Mister Kazuhiko's. My name is Kimihiko.

Nana thinks so too! Even though this is just a practice wedding, it should still be happy because it's a wedding!

Oh, really? It's nice to meet you Mister Kimihiko!

That's right. It should be a happy and fun event.

That's right. It's nice to meet you too, Miss Nana!

Have you ever been to a wedding?

I haven't. Traditional weddings are quite different in Japan to how they are here, though, so it wouldn't be the same anyway.

Mmhm. They happen at shrines, with the people dressed in kimonos - which is a traditional type of clothing worn for special occasions. The event itself is private; close family members gather to watch the priest bless and purify the couple, and they get to drink sake. Then they have to give offerings to deities, and after that they have a party.

The parties are big events, and can have anything between twenty and two hundred guests. At them, the bride and groom change their clothes multiple times during the course of the night, and there are speeches and songs by the guests.

Yes. They are really beautiful affairs. Some even have small processions at the start of them with the family heading to the shrine.

Perhaps you will. There's a lot of Japanese people here, after all. Perhaps some day they'll discover someone willing to do the ceremony like that.
