[The feed clicks on to reveal a relatively handsome man somewhere in his early thirties, facing the device like he's already figured out how to use it. He smiles nervously toward the camera, his eyes flicking about the surroundings with unease. The man is obviously new, confused as to his location, and probably a ( Read more... )

[Snake was also looking for someone important to him when he arrived, and that was just last night, so he is particularly sympathetic.]

Jim, I am Snake.

Do you think you could describe the girl in somewhat more detail? Age, height, perhaps what her voice is like? A name would also be helpful.

Snake. Good, strong name.

[He sounds totally genuine. Inside, he's giggling.]

Well- she's in her late twenties, um... a soft kind of voice. Kind of short. And her name's Molly.

[A pause. Of all the possible responses to him introducing himself, Snake did not expect that kind of compliment to the code name he more or less picked on the fly in a stressful time. Of course, Jim doesn't know that, but it strikes him as a bit odd.

Perhaps Jim is what they call a brown-noser? Or an idiot. That seems more likely, but as always, Snake proceeds with care. It is but a passing thing, really, and he is more interested in uniting Jim with Molly if he possibly can.]

To the best of my knowledge, I have not met her, but I have not been here long. I will let her know you are looking for her if I meet someone who follows that description.

Thanks!

[He flashes a little grin.]

You're very sweet.

[Snake cannot see the grin - he is currently transmitting only in audio - but he can hear the pause. It seems a bit overly friendly, cheerful in spite of such a bleak situation. It may just be how this Jim deals with trauma, but he is still a little surprised to be called 'sweet' for something so simple.]

It is merely common courtesy. Many of us were separated from our loved ones arriving here.

Still. It's very selfless- admirable, really.

[Flattery and flirtation. Jim, you really really suck.]

[Snake may be on the quiet and reserved side, but that doesn't mean he's some kind of innocent. So around now he has to wonder if he's being hit on, and why.]

...It really is but a little thing. I hope you find your girlfriend soon. [Emphasis on girlfriend.]
