Yet you're still investigating while drinking. Isn't that a tiny bit... unprofessional?

For me it's a national holiday. Y'know, the day we Americans declared independence from you folks. I'm just celebratin' the best way I know how, that's all.

An' it's not like I'm drunk or nothin'. Just a little whiskey to unwind.

Yes, I know full well what a holiday it is.

I was born in the state of New Mexico, as a matter of fact, but raised in the UK. I have American and Japanese blood in my veins.

New Mexico, huh? [He thinks.] Well, guess that makes you from 'round my part of town. But y'ain't lived in the US that long, sounds like.

Never said I did. Never said I didn't. I just said it was interestin', that's all.

If I remember right you said somethin' about the SAS, if my noggin's on straight. It's not often a man works for one country and then for another in a completely different part of the military. Then again, I ain't one to judge.

It's complicated. But it's far less strange than you believe. Loyalties shift.

Don't I know it. But not that fast, 'less betrayal fits in there, somewhere. [His loyalties shifted due to a betrayal. He understands the feeling.]
