There are literal monsters here, when there weren't in my world. And here, just like there, I don't believe anyone can be truly monstrous, only misguided. Everyone has good in them. I think there's the change of lying to one's self, or being influenced in dangerous directions, but that doesn't remove the light in someone.

Something along those lines. People are equally capable of good and evil actions, and the actions we take can only doso much to change who we are, because there's so many other factors involved.
