[Despite the fact that this is a voice post, while listening to it, the sound of static may be noticed. Nothing more than brief bursts. Occasionally, in the background, distorted voices break in. It's as if while broadcasting, Kimihiko is flicking between channels. But that doesn't sound like TV that he's watching. There's too much disorder, no sound control. For once, there is no music in the background at all. Nothing but dead silence and the occasional chatter of crowds and cars. Flickering past, between, over and over. Astute listeners might realise that it's CCTV footage.]
I have a question.
[There's something in his voice that is hard to read. Too many racing emotions for even him to control. There is only one person that would invoke that here.
°C's gone Shinji's gone
The words echo in his head. Is he alone now? It's been three days, and Shinji isn't back yet. He would have held his hopes much tighter if Shinji had not discouraged that before he left. "Don't hold your breath, Kimihiko. I'm not looking to die, but holding onto hopes like that is stupid." He wavers between grief and refusal to give up. Kimihiko Ooe does not accept defeat easily. Yet still, a dangerous thought flickers in his mind.
He's not coming back.
He denies it, represses it, focuses on the camera footage he's hacked into to try to find some clue, some sign. There's not enough cameras, not enough power in this machine to hack them all, and his power isn't going to work at this distant range.
He's not coming back.
He rejects that thought, clutching his head with a pained sound as his headache comes back full force.
He's not coming. You're alone
Lies. His mind is lying to him.]
People die a lot here but not everyone stays down. What happens to the bodies left behind?
[How can his voice sound so cheerful when Shinji is probably-]
Is there a difference between the bodies of people who die and stay dead, and the bodies of people who die and come back? Do they just disappear? And what happens to bodies found just lying around? Do they get taken somewhere in particular?
[If Shinji is dead, either he'll have been eaten or he'll need to be recovered. Where is he? ]
...also. What are the chances of someone injured but armed surviving in the Darkness?
