VI. [Archive & Video] ~ Another View ~

Jun 28, 2011 19:12

[A certain NV is acting up. And apparently it's having some trouble reconnecting to the Network. Some clips and high-pitched blips can be heard within the inky frame of blackness, somewhat frustrated before a word pops up.]

...LOADING...

[A short scene (shot in night vision) finally plays after a mess of static and fritzing passes, showing whatever heavy damage can be seen in darkness. Strange creatures. Heartless. A blur of light passes through the shadows, moving too fast for its own good. Everything starts to blend together when the NV tries to capture the movement, leading to a cut in the feed. And there is the same black screen greeting the viewer.

Again the word comes up.]

...LOADING...

[A minor glitch, some static, and then a clear image. Late afternoon. The scene reveals two halves of what once was whole, the Heartless and the Nobody glowering at each other where they stand. Their brief banter is muffled by the recorded (happy) sounds of the NV.

A pause follows shortly afterward, each one saying one last thing with some sort of flat resolve as they walk off-screen.

There's a sad droop in the mechanical voice as it is left unnoticed.

Cut, more static. And then it turns black. The same word flashes rhythmically upon the screen.]

...LOADING...

[Another short clip gives a later date, a few days since the last feed, establishing a far shot of the First standing near a large window. The light outside is bright. Too bright. It creates a stoic silhouette around him, his profile sharp against its harshness.

Nothing is spoken. Not one word. It's a heavy silence, one that lasts longer than the previous clips, the screen slowly zooming in closer to catch a glimpse of a deep, stoic sort of concentration.

And the NV makes a small noise as the screen goes black. More word flashing takes place.]

...LOADING...

[The NV finally clicks over to the present, sounding a bit dissatisfied with its live feed perusal. Its lens readjusts, focusing on the nearest wall. For extra measure, the little 'RECORD' light is on.

It then turns and putters down the hall, giving the viewer a floating tour of this little section of the building. Which...isn't much, but it's the thought that counts. But it soon arrives at a doorway, swooping in as the lighting automatically switches between settings and finding its owner...

...who is in the middle of watching a movie. Not just any movie - one of many film versions of Hamlet. It appears to be the grave digger scene, too.

So yes, Xemnas is just...kicking back ( -wait, what- ) on the leather couch, fully engrossed in observing the actions and the dialog.

The NV then chirps curiously, bringing attention to itself. Here the device and the Nobody stare for a good minute or two, the latter's gold gaze unflinching as he stays in his...oddly laid back position. Xemnas then changes the empty stare to one more fitting of his overall demeanor, brow furrowing as he reaches a hand out and over the lens.

And yet another sad noise is emitted from the device, cutting the feed.]
