He who laughs last; clown prince dethroned by Clark Kent
The Siren's Port Police Department have today disclosed that following an incident on Saturday 11th, the violent and dangerous criminal The Joker, who has faced criminal proceedings in the past in regard to his sanity, was delivered to police headquarters in a state that witnesses have described as being 'close to death'.
Refusing to give further comment on the nature of the subsequent arrest, and clearly reluctant to extend any kind of gratitude to the unnamed vigilante considering the gruesome nature of the delivery, the police have remained silent on the issue, except to comment that they are investigating a suspected crime scene and studying the video evidence in detail.
The Joker, currently in a critical condition in Skye Medical Centre and under heavy police guard, offered an eerie warning in a moment of lucidity: "This is just the entr'acte" he said, but was heard to murmur "My public..." in his sleep a few moments later. His most recent victim, a young Newcomer, is reported to be doing well.
There is some rumour that the vigilante Batman is likely the one responsible for the Joker's arrest, however as Batman is still wanted in regard to a recent incident at one of Siren's Port's banks, it seems unlikely that he can be reached for comment.
The Joker is expected to face trial despite his condition in the next few days, given the SPPDs current policies.
