You know, they actually teach chemistry in schools these days. It might not be worth it, teaching teenagers how to blow themselves up, but you get paid for it, anyway. And I hear tenure's nice.

It is not something that I had considered. [ That and she's so out of the loop year wise, all these new things she has to catch up on. Gah ]

You should. Most teachers don't understand teenagers these days anyway. They won't notice anything's off.

Until then, it's odd jobs and pretending we're not overqualified for nearly everything they'll hire us for.

That is why I asked here. It is possible that there may be a requirement within those brought here, even if not immediately.

And here I've just been doing freelance work for the locals. You can't trust them, but they don't seem to mind paying you under the table when you know what you're talking about.

Perhaps similar opportunities may arise.

You could be the first freelance chemist. ...Well, no. I think they call those something else, depending on what they're making. But I don't think you have much of a future in the drug business.

Then perhaps it is fortunate that my work tends to not often fall there.
