Thank ya kindly, little miss. [He gives her a tip of his hat.] It's what I used to do, back home. [He'll just... hide the whole stint as a patrolman and then getting arrested for disguising himself as an officer thing.]

Yep, that's right. Though for the past two years I've been working as a patrolman. [Using "work" in the loosest sense of the term.]

That sounds like it could be interesting...or incredibly boring. Or a mixture of both.

Seein' as I got to do whatever I wanted and no one stopped me, I reckon it was more interestin' than anything else.

Perhaps we'll cross paths, detective. I work under Mr. Edgeworth at his office as an intern and research assistant. He's rather involved with the city and there've been detective types in here before, so, who knows?

[He gives a bit of a chuckle.] Yeah, we'll be crossin' paths, bambina- er, Haruhi. Mister High-Falutin' Prosecutor's got his eyes on me. And as I'm a detective now, he's got an even easier way of doin' it.

Sure do. We used to work together, in a manner of speakin'. Or at least, we saw a lot of each other, seein' as he's a prosecutor an' I was a sheriff 'round them parts. [He means a police officer. Just ignore him.]
