tenth date; [video; the Butz has a life crisis]
[When the feed switches on, the first thing you will see is a rough pencil sketch of Kurt, Ahiru and Xion on a stage surrounded by spotlights. Beside that is a whole lot of colored pencils almost obscuring the spotlights.
Then suddenly, a kitten's orange-and-white paw. It bats the NV across the desk, and you will get a movement blur of jars of paint that are luckily lined up out of the NV's way, even rougher sketches of figures and places and perhaps even a sleeping cat, a pot of glue, scattered paper clips and - oh, there goes the NV. It just fell off the table, and slides some more as the kitten continues her game until she gets bored and the NV is capturing a video of Larry Butz lying on his couch, still in his usual clothes. He's lying on his stomach, his face buried in his arms, which are folded over a cushion. His legs are dangling magnificently off the other side. Scattered all over the floor would be tons of papers and pens and even crayons and sheets folded in a myriad of ways.
Oh, and he's mumbling.]
...someday...like them...
[Finally, he wakes up, stretches and yawns and...wipes his mouth with the corner of his sleeve. Um.
He sits up and sighs, frowning. Then he picks up the NV and stares at it balefully, like a puppy who has just been kicked. When he speaks, his tone is completely flat. Possibly even sad.]
Man. I can't do anything right.
[He switches the NV off, but two people will receive messages a few minutes later.]

Oh yeah...I finished the painting. You can pick it up whenever...yeah. Whenever.
