[Wandering around the city, finding weird powers and weird things, has been pretty enthralling for Haruhi for the last couple weeks! Look, they're monsters. You don't go and seek them just for adventure. You have to be prepared for that sort of thing.

Well, maybe. I hadn't really seen them before, and I thought -- maybe no one had ever tried talking to them before and making friends with them! And tonight just felt fitting for it, you know...?

No, of course not. Merlin's just my name, and I happen to be a warlock as well. Anyway, Haruhi, I think just about everyone has a power-- it just takes some people's a while to kick in!
