Guess it just makes life interesting to know the two people who've actually killed me are free and walking around this place. Could be worse, I guess.

[ He sighs, pausing for a moment; Peter's having a guilty conscience sort of day. Which really just means Peter's alive and kicking, but still. ] If you guys had the choice, would you want your ( Read more... )

[The question hit a reallllly touchy subject for her, so she's using voice, instead of the typical video.]

Learn to defend yourself -- hahaha -- if they try to attack you again, don't let them.

To answer your question, though; friends. Eehee. Most of them would be better off here. [beat.] My family wouldn't.

[ He doesn't really mind because it's... beyond touchy for him too. He's just not outright admitting to it yet. ]

Thanks for the tip, i'll remember it next time i've got a pick axe sticking out of the back of my head.

... Better off, how?

Learn how to use a gun, and you can have a bullet in their brain, before they even swing the axe, heehee.

But I mean better off in the sense that the people closest to the term of friend, in my world, are soldiers. Hahaha -- I have faith in their abilities to protect themselves and they'd be better off in a world where they didn't always have to see war.

I think i've got a few things more effective than a gun. Wish I knew how to fight, though.

Just kind of hard to think of this place as better than anything. But yeah, I can see why they might like this place more than being in the middle of a war.

Ah, you mean CQC? It's not a specialty of my own -- heehee -- but I'm learning gradually. There's a lot of people who offer to teach others, though. You should talk to them, sometime.

It's hard for me to imagine a place better than this, actually. Heehee -- yes, the monsters are...scary at first, and neither of the companies are any good, but...it's like they say, I suppose. Eehee -- it could always be worse.

... Yeah, that. I've been thinking about asking around, I just don't want to sign myself up to get hit around by the wrong person.

It could definitely be worse. And it's not like the monsters are any worse than some of the people around here.

Eheh, it only makes sense you'd want to research something like that, before committing to it.

You're right though, heh. If I had the choice to be locked in a room full of those monsters or operatives from either company? I'd choose the monsters.

More than enough people around here are good at hand to hand combat. Sign myself up for it with someone i'm not too sure about, and i'll end up dead for the third time.

I'd take the monsters any day over the companies.

If you want my opinion? Eheheh? There's a woman named Tifa Lockhart who's been offering lessons for a while. Even if I don't know her too well, she seems like the most trustworthy person, of the bunch.

[Or at least from what she gleaned from stalking.]

And it's worse in the fact that they only seem to be gaining more and more power...what can you about it though, right? Heeheehee?

[Oh, plenty, but it's not like she's stupid enough to say so on the network.]

Yeah? I heard that I needed to meet her sooner or later, and at least now i've got an excuse. Thanks for the tip, i'll see if I can find her.

[ fff, that actually gets a snort ] ... I don't know, there's lots of things we can do about it.

You think so? Haha? [Oh, she was so, so curious...but at the same time she didn't want to put him in a bad position by making him reveal anything publicly...and she didn't have enough faith in her encryption abilities to take it to private.] Well, it'd be nice if changes were made, in any case.

Yeah, I do. [ It was probably better if they both find out a different way, but Peter's a little too oblivious to do any asking of his own, even if his encryption skills weren't... exactly the best things known to man. ] At least we can start by taking on the darkness monsters.

[In either case, he piqued her interest; she was going to do a little more stalking on him before suggesting anything.]

I guess that's something -- heehee -- even if those things have a habit of coming back every night.

Just means we get more practice dealing with them.

[With a bit of smugness in her voice:] Hey, a little practice never hurt anyone, eehee.

Except for the people being practice on? Or monsters in this case.
