[ The camera turns on to show a bird's-eye-view of the city, capturing it in all of its decadent glory. For those of you who recognize the place, the camera is mostly focused on the area where the Lux is standing, though it'd be hard to tell unless you were really paying attention. And squinting. Lucifer is, after all, hovering a mile or so above the city. ]

[ His voice comes from seemingly nowhere. He's keeping the camera trained downward, and the ground is coming up to meet him ever so slowly. ]
Omnia mutantur nihil interit. It means that everything changes, but nothing is truly lost.
[ And now, he's on the ground. Right in front of the Lux. ]
I knew this place, once. I knew its people and its dramas, its lifeblood and its corruption. I stayed here for a time, and I enjoyed the company I kept. I offered sanctuary and conversation to any who asked, and played part in the society of fools that only the constant threat of genocide can engender. I built the edifice you see before you not only to offer any protection from the darkness, but to also serve as my refuge from those who have deigned it necessary to second-guess and cast suspicion on my every intent.

When he turns to face it, he shows a handsome man wearing rather expensive clothing, with blonde hair, fiery golden eyes, and a rather large scar running down from his left temple to his right cheek. He does not look amused anymore. ]

[ He looks murderous. His outline is slowly bleeding fire. ]
