Nala doesn't have any abilities. She hasn't shown any at least.

1. What is/are your ability(ies)?
I have an affinity for all five elements.

2. Did you have your abilities upon entering Siren's Port?
Had them back home, a gift from Nyx.

3. Do you like having your abilities?
I love them. If my Marks weren't proof, my gift shows that my goddess loves me.

4. When, if ever, do you use these abilities?
Whenever I need to. Either to protect a friend or fight someone off, or I use them during rituals.

5. Would you prefer another ability?
Never.

An affinity?

Who is Nala?

I have a command of the elements fire, air, water, earth and spirit. We call that an affinity back home.

A cat. I'm her vampyre.

[Yes, Zoey belongs to Nala. Not the other way around =|]

You're her vampyre?

What does a vampyre do?

Yeah, it's a thing about my world. Cats are never owned by my kind, they're their own... people, I guess. They're very free-willed and they pick us rather than the other way around.

Some Vamps teach, others work on Broadway or go on to do other things. Fledglings, we stay in the House of Night.

Ah, I see. Some would argue cats are like that in any world.

That's interesting. What makes you a vampyre? Do you use blood to sustain your life?

Maybe, but I don't think people see them to same as we do.

It's genetic; a physiological reaction in some teenagers bodies as hormone levels rise, which triggers a junk DNA strand that starts the Change into a vamypre. (I'm so glad I paid attention in AP Biology.) And I don't require blood, not yet. I'm just a fledgling, I won't complete the Change for about four years, then I'll need blood to live.

That's fascinating. I've never heard of a genetic vampire.

Can it be anyone's blood? Or will it be someone specific?
Have you tried drinking someone's blood in advance?

Yep, it's been that way on my Earth for a few thousand years or so.

Anyone's, but there's a chance of Imprinting if we drink directly from a human. So we usually get blood donated.

Yeah, we've had blood in red wine during Dark Daughters rituals.

Imprinting? What is that?

Dark Daughters. Do you have different responsibilities, as vampyres?

It's a physical and mental bond created between a human and Vamp, a fledgling and a human or a Vamp and a fledgling. You can feel what the other is feeling, even feel their death if the Imprint is strong enough.

Not exactly, the only difference is that we have Marks, some have powers, others are painfully skilled in different areas and we live longer.

That's fascinating. Can you Imprint on more than one human?

Ah, I see.

No, only one. We can break an Imprint by Imprinting with another person but that has a chance of causing severe depression in the human.

I see.

I fail at coding, lol chosenbynyx May 25 2011, 23:59:52 UTC
Yeah, it can really... suck sometimes. If you pardon the pun.

XD Me too, sometimes I forget which mode I'm in patchworkdoctor May 26 2011, 00:42:12 UTC
I'm very interested in your Imprinting. Your genetic code as a whole, but that specifically. Is it common?
