Y'know, I don't think I'm cut out for this customer service crap. Today I was minding my own business, ringing people up and some toddler ran behind the counter and pulled my tail!
I told him, "Don't touch me, go away!" and his mom got super-angry. She said he was just a little kid and I shouldn't be mean. When I told her I didn't care how old he was, she shouldn't let him run around grabbing people's appendages, she started going on about how I didn't know a thing about parenting and "I don't know what kind of mother you have, but--" - [sharp breath] I know I shouldn't have said anything, but I told her my mom wasn't even here and she was all like [really nasty voice] "That explains it! Newcomers never have any manners!"
[A long pause.] It took all my strength not to yell at her to get out and never came back. I don't really give a damn if she comes back tomorrow and complains about me like she said she would.
I'm just sorry for whoever has to deal with her, because if I see her again, I'm going on my break.
