[The first noticeable thing, when the feed clicks on, is the sound of a voice. It's high, melodic and pitch-perfect, and it becomes apparent right away that Kurt is in a much better mood than he was last time.]

[Well. Those broken ribs that were healing and that hangover is no longer a problem.]

Do you do that professionally?

What, interior decorating? It's just a hobby of mine.

The singing or the decorating. You have quite a talent for both. [Just because HE'S tone deaf doesn't mean he doesn't know what's good.]

Thank you. I'm not about to let my talent languish away while I'm stuck in this place. It would be highly irresponsible.

You're welcome. There is a young woman here, who manages a local theatre. She might be interested in you, if you would like to preform? [He's not putting together the healing and the singing - because that's a new one for him.]

I would, actually. I've just enrolled in school and am looking for work, but once that's all established...

Which school? Being a Newcomer, you have some problems.

Her name is Jinx, here contact is here. Tell her Michael Xavier gave you her number for the theatre. She's also the co-owner of a cabaret club.

There are several Newcomer children who have reported bullying problems.

Lad...people here have superpowers, to put it bluntly. 'Bullying' takes a new meaning. [Yes, he's concerned.]

Well I'm not going to stay out of school because of a few bullies. I've never let it stop me before, and I'm not about to start now.

I'm not saying you should - far from it. But just that you should be prepared.

I'll be fine. I'm not afraid of anyone, whether they have superpowers or not.

[Clears his throat.] I have to ask, though... What exactly differentiates those who have them and those who don't? Er--powers, I mean.

Almost everyone here has powers. If they didn't have them at home, then tend to develop one here.

Typically those without a power are seen as lessor than those that do. Newcomers in general are seen as lessor by the citizens anyway.

I don't have any powers. I guess that makes me inferior, doesn't it.
