[Here, have a mildly annoyed looking man with long blond hair and an eye-patch, the glint of metal from his leather collar there between the folds of his black collar. There's the hint of a smile pulling at his lips as he sighs and props his chin on his knuckles.]
So.
[A soft laugh.]I had thought to acquaint myself with this new country a bit

[Okay, you get a blink, because a talking skeleton? That's a first, even for Fai's many travels. His lips twitch with the sudden urge to smile as he deadpans.]
I rather expect it'd make your teeth chatter...

Allow me to introduce myself properly then, my name is Brooke, and I am the bard of the Straw Hat pirates. I've always said I have a good eye for character... well at least I always used to say that when I still had eyes. Yohohoho!

[I looked like you once, even if I had skin. He still looks like you. The words are there trapped behind the cage of pearly teeth and a friendly smile, swallowed before they can fly from his lips.
Instead, he cants his head to the side and shrugs a bit.]
While I can honestly say I've never held a conversation with a skeleton, I can say I'm well traveled enough to have seen some pretty startling things between the dimensions. And you seem nice enough. My name is rather long, so you can just call me Fai, and it's a pleasure to, ah, meet you.

Fai is it? How interesting, I don't think I've met too many people who have traveled through the dimensions before. Well other than from theirs to this one anyways.

[Unless, of course, you call watching your companion lose his temporarily loaned soul, then rip out and eat your eye, thus taking half of your magical ability as something 'of note'. Then his description is more of a lie of omission, though he prefers to consider it glossing over the facts.
So he smiles that friendly little smile and shrugs a shoulder.]
Unfortunately, I've managed to get separated from my companions here, so I'll need to find them before I have any chance of continuing our travels.
And you? I bet you've an interesting story or two to tell.

Oh I have more interesting tales than I know how to count. Some of my own life, some of my death, some of my life I've been leading here, and some just from off the top of my head. As a bard, it's my job to have many an interesting story to tell. The only question is, what kind of story are you looking for? Yohohoho!

[A smile and a negligent shrug, as if to say it's of no worry. Never mind the fact that he will, quite literally, die unless he finds Kurogane.]
In good time, I suppose, right? And I'm always interested to see a well spun tale, especially ones about this mad city right now.

Hmm... tales about this mad island you say? Do you perhaps know of the two corporations that seem to run this island? Sero and AGI?

[He already knows the first two aren't in this world, but.. the third. Well. The steady pounding heartbeat there in the back of his mind tells him the truth of that well enough.
A shrug though before he leans foreward to rest his elbows on his knees.]
Only that they're both, apparently, manipulative and self-serving companies and that it's best to avoid them...

That's a rather kinder way of talking about them.
[Filter ; moderately hackable]
I've seen a bit of a darker side to them though. Sero experiments on residents of this island in the hopes of finding the secrets to the core, while AGI has been known to enslave the populace for their own personal gain. They want nothing more than to be rid of the core, since they're fairly certain it's the cause of all the problems. Whichever side of the twisted coin you look at, they're both ruthless and entirely corrupt. One of my friends has been enslaved by AGI, and another was experimented on and killed by Sero.

[A long pause, then a frown as his eye narrowed a bit.]
So, say I've had difficulty finding a person I know to be here. Should I be concerned that he might have gotten involved with one of these countries?
[Unlikely as it seems, he still needs to ask. Because while he honestly can't imagine an enemy that could get the better of Kurogane... well. Stranger things have happened.]

No, if anything, those creatures would regret the meeting. In all the dimensions we've been in... I've yet to meet a being that could truly defeat him. Even so
[A beat.]
I think I'll start descretely looking into them a bit just to be sure.
