[The feed flicks on to show Roxie, curled up on her side on a narrow bed in her new one-bedroom in the Tower apartments. She's not complaining about the condition of the apartment-it's actually a step up from the one she shared with Amos in Chicago and it's certainly better than a jail cell, and here she has the benefit of solitude. [Francis recognizes her hair style and outfit as being from somewhere around the 20s, in the period of jazz.

Francis LOVED jazz. Once it had been brought over to Europe during the first World War... well. It had exploded in the Allied countries.

Regardless, he flicks on his NV screen.]

Bonsoir, mademoiselle Hart. Or should I call you Roxie? [He smiles a bit at the pretty little thing.] I suppose you've been settled in already at the Apartments?

O-oh. You can call me Roxie!

[She giggles nervously. Yep, this accent definitely does it for her.]

That's right, and they ain't half bad! Not compared to where I've lived, anyway.

Roxie it is. [His accent normally does it for people. That and his charming personality and good looks that he prides himself on so very much.]

Well they've just been recently renovated, alors, many things have been updated. It's good to hear you're enjoying your stay, at least.

Has anyone already spoken to you about living here, or do you have any questions about this place...? You may ask me anything at all.

[She giggles again.]

Well, it's a lot more modern than I'm used to, but I like to think I'm a modern kinda girl.

[Roxie appears to think that over for a second.]

I-I hear there's monsters.

Being modern is certainly not a bad thing! [Especially since the skirts are even shorter in modern day~]

Ah, oui, hélas... there are monsters outside at night, when the sirens sound. You'll hear them... mais, as long as you keep all your windows closed at night, and you stay indoors, there shouldn't be any problems. I wouldn't want to see you get hurt, ma chére.

Never said it was~

[Despite how terrying that sounds, she manages a dazzling smile.]

That's awful sweet of you, Mister...Oh, I don't believe I caught your name.

Francis Bonnefoy, at your service, Roxie. You may call me Francis. [He gives his best charming smile in return. Wouldn't want to scare the poor woman too much.]

Francis it is, then. That's an awful nice name you've got.

[And what can she do but return the smile? She's always had a weakness for nice-looking men.]

Oh, merci beaucoup! I'm certainly glad you think so.

[And Francis has always had a weakness for beautiful women, so they're both even. :D]

Mais, you're settling in all right, regardless?

Oh, sure. I mean, I don't have any belongings to unpack, so I guess I just gotta get used to how things work around here.

Well, you'll need to talk to the Newcomer Fund to get some money for necessities, mais, that can wait until tomorrow.

But if you need anything until then, let me know.

The Newcomer Fund, right. I'll hafta get on that.

[She rests her chin on the back of her hand, looking satisfied with herself.]

Oh, I will.
