[After Darkness falls...

Sounding tired but probably more cheerful than she ever has before:]

Aaaah... man!

Okay, okay. I guess I wasn't gone for very long, huh...? What a difference, some people disappear and they think months have gone by here too, mine was practically right on the nose... but that makes it nice and easy ( Read more... )

I'm sure it won't be a problem for us to cover your shifts for a bit longer, if you need to rest.

But aside from that, you're sure you're alright?

Oh, hi Minato! Mm, thanks... I'm really okay, there was just a lot of ruckus at home. But, haha, relatively speaking, I got out without a scratch! Lucky me.

I suppose "Welcome back" isn't quite the appropriate thing to say, but I'm glad that you're alright.

What sort of class were you thinking about taking? [He might just be a little curious about them himself.]

Mm, it's good enough. Even if it's leaving home again... at least I got a ticket back.

[Abruptly, the warm tone melts into something more serious.] Oh, I dunno yet - I'd have to look at what they're offering. I don't know, do the class types change a lot when you go to university?

We can only hope. [A bit amused:] Though you are living proof that the Core is still functioning. Somewhat, anyway.

Afraid I wouldn't know much about the classes myself, we didn't have universities back home.

I guess so. It's better than turning up dead in a ditch somewhere... assuming I really went home.

[Clicks her tongue.] Mm, it shouldn't be too hard to take a look. I guess I'd stick with something booky or maybe history. I don't really have the experience I need in science, even for high school...

I see. [He doesn't like to pry, whatever had happened to her... it wasn't really his business.]

We're similar, then. There's much in this world that I'm unfamiliar with, though it would be rather ridiculous for a man my age to attend the schools. University would be an option though, I believe.

[It's all a bit of a private matter - she'd answer questions, but she wouldn't put information out herself. She's protective of her past, of who knows about it, aware that it's a tool that can be used to manipulate her. As nice as Minato is, she wouldn't trust him with that information yet.]

I'm not in the right year in high school either - I'm a bit of a jumble actually, I think. But I'm young enough to pass, even if it's frustrating sometimes.

[She'd make a fine shinobi 8|]

Nothing wrong with trying to learn more, no matter your age. It's impossible to tell how long we'll be here, it's not a bad idea to be as aware of the surroundings as we can.

[Hon hon... train her, Minato.]

Mm, it's what I figure. And it's not such a bad way to pass the time, usually... most of the time.

And this is free.

[If she wanted to on breaks at work... /seal mastah 8D]

[A light laugh.] Nothing to lose and everything to gain, hm?

I'm sure it's just a way to garner interest in actually attending and paying for other classes later on, but still worth looking into, in my opinion.

Perhaps I'll see you there?

[DO IT DO IT she could always learn something useful and new ;w;]

Sure, I'm sure you're right. They have their reasons and why not make a good impression with us too... I wonder what the regular students think of it, anyway-? But, it could be a useful start. I want to see what a class like that would be like, anyway.

Maybe you will, if we take something similar. What do you think you'd study?

[He has a nerdy notebook full of seals he works on constantly 8| if she asked he'd teach her stuff haha]

I'm sure it's not all an attempt to win good favor. [A pause.] Some part of it, small and deep down as it might be, must be an interest in educating the people here.

[Oh Minato. Stop looking for the good in people.] Ah? Truthfully, anything I'd be able to really. So much here is different from what I'm used to... but I'd like to avoid spreading myself too thin as well.

[Gotta know about it first... >:| but she'd be interested!]

That'd be nice. But I still have to wonder what the locals think of it. They're not all friendly at my school, so would the older students be any better...? [She has firsthand experience being picked on for her newcomer status.]

You'd only be able to take one class this summer anyway - at least if you didn't want to spend any money.

[Look over his shoulder woman!]

Doubtful, even some of the adult citizens here have issues with us newcomers at times. Something we must learn to deal with, I'm afraid. But it shouldn't stop you from furthering your education, if you really want to.

Ah, true. Getting a bit ahead of myself I suppose. I'd like to stop by and speak with someone there, learn what's available.

[BUT THAT WOULD BE RUDE!!!!!!!!!]

I don't know how it's all set up. Maybe people will be easier to avoid... [And Rin, with her latent power granted by the Core or what-the-heck-ever, is good at avoiding people.]

What do you think you'd want to do, if you could do anything?
