Sector 7 was a horrible place to patrol, and the least favorite for Asch, who did not feel that corn fields needed any kind of lookout. Still, orders were orders, and now that the sun was setting and the sirens were soon to blare, he was relieved. He shift was over when the sirens went off, and he promised himself a nice hot meal and a warm bath, and...

All that was dashed when the sirens went off... and then the corn seemed to rise. Asch let out a startled noise, swinging his torchlight back and forth and up, only to find that the darkness that was settling in was nigh impenetrable, and he could only see just a bit ahead, even with the light.

"You've got to be kidding..." he muttered. Count on him to accidentally stumble on a demon corn field, or whatever it was.

[One minute Larry was shopping for more art supplies...and the next minute he was here, in the middle of this maze. He sat up, and got back onto his feet, trying to gather himself.

What was going on? Where was he, anyway? He felt the walls and started walking, searching for an exit. Was this another one of the many tricks Siren's Port had up its sleeve? Unfortunately, his power was not going to be of much help; not only did he know how to use it, what good would erasing memories do especially when there were no people around with memories he could erase?

Larry could feel panic welling up inside him, but tried to keep it down. This was not the time to panic...there had to be a way out...he started to run, picking up speed as he turned a corner.

That was when a wall suddenly shot up in front of him, inches away from his face, and he yelled in shock and fright and PANIC.]

Aaaaaaah!

Ella, Hattie and Open in the maze :D (10/30/11) of_frell October 30 2011, 16:07:07 UTC
She'd heard about that labyrinth appearing in the newsfeed, but she hadn't thought she'd have anything to worry about. Silly her. After getting home from work, she'd made dinner, tidied up around the house, and promptly staggered up to her room to get some much needed rest.

And woke up in a cornfield. Without a thing to defend herself. After sirens.

There were words one could use to describe her thoughts on this situation, but she was much too much of a Lady to say them. First things first - she got to her feet, unwilling to call out and draw anything's attention, but she listens carefully all the same. Maybe someone else was here - but if whatever dragged her into the Labyrinth thought she was going to sit around and wait to be rescued, they'd have to think again. Rubbing her eyes, she picked a direction and took her first step.

[ OOC: so yeah, Ella will be stumbling upon Hattie, but the thread is open for anyone to run into her before/after she meets up with her stepsister. :D ]

It was a very good dinner, of course Hattie went out of her way to downplay just how good Ella actually was at cooking. Afterward she went out for a walk and before she knew it she had absolutely no idea where she was. It was a very creepy, unsanitary, and all around -evil- environment, wasn't it? Surely a place unfit for a lady like herself ( ... )

Uh. Dashing and handsome? Ella would never use either of those words to describe herself. As much as her stepsister was hoping for a white knight or a handsome prince to catch her, she was going to have to settle for an irritated younger stepsister.

As Ella rounded the corner, she was startled by the body falling right into her. Instinctively she caught the figure, bracing to keep her from hitting the ground. What if she was hurt?

And then she saw who it was. "...HATTIE?" Oh of all the people to be stuck with. In disgust, she loosened her arms to let the older girl clunk to the ground.

Maybe Ella -should- consider using those words to describe herself. In face, maybe Hattie should -tell- Ella to fit that description!!

...

No, that'd get a little too awkward. And speaking of awkward, when Hattie gets a good look at the person her caught her, her eyes went wide and she let out a shriek- cut off by the thud of her body hitting the floor, "Ouch!"

"You.. You -dropped- me, you klutz! Butter fingers!" she gasped in shock, sitting up while holding the back of her head, the other held out as if expecting her step-sister to help her up. "As always, your head is in the clouds, don't you know what predicament you're in? I probably have a bruise now thanks to you!"

Sigh

"No, of course you don't; it's so hard being the brains of this outfit.." she then shakes her hand a little. Help her up already!

Sabriel, in the maze (10/30) swordandbells October 31 2011, 09:53:32 UTC
She really needed to stop waking up in strange places, Sabriel realized as her eyes opened to take in the sight of gently waving stalks of corn looming above her. It was starting to get tedious ( ... )

"Styx? Styx, where are you~"

Dante scanned the darkness, which for some reason is a bit foggy today, for the skeletal figure of Styx. Despite the mutt being made entirely of bone, he ran pretty fast. Dante had followed the sound of Styx's very distinguishable pawsteps to the corn fields, and he just barely saw his adopted pet run into the maze.

"Goddamnit Styx..."

The dog, who is quite literally made entirely of reanimated skeleton, ran energetically in its new playground, oblivious of the risks. Unbeknownst to both pet and owner, instinct drew the undead retriever to Sabriel's brand of powers.

[Sabriel continued her quiet stalking through the maze, ears alert to any unnatural mewlings, Death-sense crawling over her misted skin. There were monsters somewhere nearby, though none were close enough to have sensed her yet. She'd be ready for them when they *did* inevitably catch the scent of her life force. A pale hand rested on Saraneth, the sixth bell, and she took some comfort in the strength of its presence ( ... )

After a few turns Dante realized that he was completely lost in the maze. Not only was he not paying attention to what turns he made, it didn't seem to matter, because when he actually did pay attention, his sense of direction told him things that were logically impossible...unless the maze was just shifting right behind him when he wasn't looking. But that was a ridiculous notion, wasn't it?

"Styx, I hope you know where you're going," grumbled Dante. Styx probably heard him, but if he understood, there was no indication.

"Because I have no idea where we're going!" scolded Dante at the bony tail waggling a few meters in front of him.

And that was when Styx found who he was looking for.

[[ooc: You can attack Styx if that is most reasonable (seems a natural response to a skeleton running at you, no?), but give Dante a window to save his puppy :3]]
