Who: askedtobe and rudolphofvamps (and aintnorain!) When: after Gabriel gets to Peter :/ Where: some Sector on some street Summary: Spike finds Peter unconscious. Warnings: None other than typical IA stuff.
It wasn't like Peter was immune to everything, a fact he knew well enough. He'd been knocked out before, and it had only taken being pushed off a roof as well as a rather painful crash landing. Being taken out by an Angel was a different story entirely, however, and something Peter had no interest in repeating anytime soon.
But the nudging with Spike's foot wasn't enough to rouse him just yet and if Peter could consciously think about it, he'd probably be thankful for it, for however long he had the chance to be knocked out for. There was no part of this that Peter wanted to deal with anymore, not after everything that had just happened.
Spike wasn't about to waste time trying to wake the other man up, especially after sirens. Scooping Peter up and gently pushing him up on his shoulder, he sighed, starting quickly for their apartment. "It'll be alright, Pete," Spike said softly, not even sure he'd said it aloud.
Peter's tininess really had to come in handy sometimes. But that aside, there was a bit of shifting in his consciousness at being moved about. It wasn't enough to wake him completely, not yet. But it was bound to happen sooner instead of later.
Slamming through their door with a boot against the wood, he spins to drop Peter on the couch - not as softly as he'd intended - before going back to shut the door. Still across the room, he watched, frozen a moment.
