The smell of campfire

When: August 7th-9th, but feel free to stay at the cabins anytime after (it'll just be a whole lot quieter)
Where: Campgrounds in Sector 7 by the lake, darkness-proofed cabins.
Summary: After the Xehanort Fiasco, Sora whisks away his friends (KH Lightside+Friends) for a chance to heal up, inside and out. See OOC

[During the first night, a certain redhead sits by the campfire. She's roasting a marshmallow for the first time ever! Exciting!

Only she has no idea how to do this properly, and she basically plunges the thing straight into the fire. Which is fine, for a few seconds, until it bursts into flames. Now, normally, someone faced with this dilemma would pull the marshmallow out of the flames and blow it out - unfortunately, Ahiru falls safely in the category of 'Not A Normal Person'. So, instead of blowing it out, she's just going to wave the stick around haphazardly, hoping that the marshmallow will stop burning somehow.

Stop her before she catches something else on fire?]

[Have help in the form of a grinning boy, ducking and catching the flaming marshmallow mid-way down the roasting stick, the flaming marshmallow still crisping dangerously somewhere above his head.]

Hey! Hey. Easy.

[quackery]

[She blinks and stops flailing, then notices that it's still close to his head.]

C-Careful! It's really hot!

[madeinoblivion]

Well don't wave it around like a maniac, then!

[He extracts himself quickly from underneath the charred, gooping mass, blowing hard on it until the flames sizzle out.]

[quackery]

I was trying to put it out!

[She lowers the stick, staring at the (extremely charred) marshmallow which looks like it's about to drop right off.]

W-What do I do?

[madeinoblivion]

Well, you can get a new one and start over, or...eat it. It's fine to eat, the outside's just burnt. Just wait for it to cool off a little.

[quackery]

It didn't burn the whole thing?

[madeinoblivion]

It might still be good, on the inside.

[quackery]

[Hesitantly, she brings the stick forward and takes a bite! After a second or two of oh goodness that's very hot and sticky, she smiles, bringing it away from her face while she tries not to get molten marshmallow all over her person. Said with a full mouth:]

'S really good!

[madeinoblivion]

Yeah- last summer I'd slip out before the games at the stadium, and sometimes people tailgating would let me roast a marshmallow or two on their charcoal grills-

[He slides a marshmallow onto his own stick holding it over the flames.]

Campfire's better, though.

[quackery]

That sounds nice... You've been here since last summer, Joe?

[madeinoblivion]

Since last March.

[quackery]

Wow! I bet you miss home a whole lot, huh?

[madeinoblivion]

Not at all! My home's right here!

Really? You must have a lot of friends here, huh?
