Where: The House of Awesome
Summary: Jubilee offered an ear, and Tenma said he'd bring the beer. The guy is crushing hard.
Warnings: Language, maybe? It's just talking.

Jubilee had spent most of the time when she wasn't working, thieving, and rearranging furniture, painting. The apartment was slowly taking shape. However, she was expecting company this evening.

She was washing out the paint brushes when the knock sounded on the front door, downstairs. Jubilee ran down and opened the door. "Hey!" She grinned, her hands still covered in paint and a streak of green in her hair. "Come on up to my place. I've gotta finish washing out the brushes, if you don't mind?"

"Ah, that's...that's fine!" Tenma grinned, giving a nod. "I hope I didn't interrupt something? You have a little..."

He made a motion to his own hair, following her inside and shutting the door behind him.

"Do you do a lot of painting?"

Jubilee looked upwards and just shrugged. "It might be hair color. But, it's probably paint. I've been working most of the afternoon on a mural."

She lead him upstairs to her personal apartment and motioned him in ahead of her. One side of the room, the furniture was open and ready to be used. The other side was covered in drop cloths. On the wall was an incomplete mural of a very large house and grounds. Most of it is sketched out, but it isn't painted in. There are storm clouds over a part of the grounds.

"I've kinda taken over painting of the apartments. Most of them are pretty plain, but this being mine, I can't do things like that in here. Have a seat." She smiled. "I need to finish these brushes, so I'll be right back."

"You did all this? You're really talented," Tenma said in surprise, setting the case down away from the mural, and looking back at her with a smile and a nod.

"Of course, don't let me keep you!" He said, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. He turned back to look at the mural, taking in the sketches. It didn't look like just any old place; it must be some place from back home for her.

It looked nice, wherever it was.
