Everything is running smoothly on schedule, with the weather a beautiful, sunny spring day. So come and watch some minstrels and puppeteers perform, try some hearth-baked meat pies, see the tradesmen at work, or take a photo in the stocks!
In the late afternoon, there is an event scheduled. A large banquet-style feast is set up by the fairgrounds' usual picnic table area, where the 'King' of the Festival (Governor Redgrave himself!) is due to make a costumed appearance. Surrounded by his usual bodyguard Voids, who are dressed today as knights, he will be ruddy faced and merry, out among the public for the first time in months.

Reply
"Yargh, ye be lookin'... like I be lackin' the words t'describe how amazing ye be, M'Lady. You do an old sea dog a kindness by accompanyin' him to the fair."

Mia laughed lightly. "Don't be silly. I would never have come on my own, I should be thanking you."
Reply
"Have you ever been to one of these before? I love this place. I can walk around as much as I want without worrying about frying someone's computer or busting a hot water heater. Plus they have meat on a stick."

"And meat on a stick with ale or mead is pretty good."
Reply
"I have heard wonderful things about mead," she agreed amiably.
Reply
"A joust really isn't a joust if you don't have a good mead," he said. Offering his arm, he grinned at her. "Shall we get some, M'Lady?"
Reply
"That would be very nice, thank you."
Reply
"So where did you get such an amazing costume if you don't do this sort of thing regularly?" Harry asked.
Reply
"I found a dress and I altered it a bit, that's all."
Reply
"You know, back home I knew a woman that made her own chain mail."
Reply
"Is that so?"
Reply
"She made it for her husband," he said. "He's a Knight of the Cross."
