I totally agree, same feeling here even in Canada. The news about the school shooting was shocking, and we had a couple bad things happen to people at work, it's POURING rain and windy and feels like January, and our power went out for an hour earlier. So weird. I have a totally bad feeling today.

I live in Virginia, and Tech is the school where it seemed like half of my graduating class went. It has been just enough time that those i graduated with would not be in school anymore, but it is also the "family" school (all my cousins on my moms side, save one, went there, also my two uncles) so one of my cousins is still there. it is... horrible.

Oh my gosh, that is really terrible :( I hope you will have no connections the victims. I can't believe things like this even happen.

Aye. I have students there. Warwick is a huge feeder school for Tech. It's a mess at our school. Students and teachers are worried about friends, family, and former students. I'm still waiting on e-mails...

I know what you mean. I was thinking that today about being in NB. I was walking around campus and there were barely any people around, there was all this wind and I've been hearing police sirens all day. I haven't tried going anywhere yet but it sounds like all the main roads are flooded or closed (I can't tell if this is people exaggerating or if we really are trapped.) And then I turned on the TV and heard about Virginia Tech.
