Indeed it WAS! The same Old Bethpage where Conan O'Brian went, a few seasons back, to play old-time-y baseball in an episode which I actually saw, but apparently hardly anyone who works there now did...

WOW!! I've wanted to historically reenact there for AGES. I'm a sucker for "historical interpretations" and stuff.

I think you can! Apparently people just...volunteer there all the time! I don't know what your qualifications have to be or if you have to know someone like I did, but besides the paid staff, they have regular volunteers that just do it for fun or civil service or something or other. Try looking into it! Christine is their resident costume goddess and would hook you up with stock attire and everything.
