I got payed forward!
Something I've been doing for a while:
Whenever I get a gift card for something, I almost always spend less than the total value of the gift card by a few dollars, and randomly give it to someone else in the store, saying "This has a few dollars left on it and I'm not going to use, so you can have it." No big deal.
Well, today, I had someone do it to me!
I was at laundry, and the place I use has rechargeable cards rather than making you mess around with quarters. Not only did I find a dryer that still had time on it (which has never happened in the history of man) but some lady gave me her card and said... well, the same thing I say to people. It had like, four or five dollars on it, so there's still money left after paying for my entire drying cycle.
I think this is the latest thing in string of good luck, and I can't help but think that I deserve it a little after how horribly my week started.
-I went to Dunkin' Donuts while waiting for my wash to finish, and at the time the very, very long freight train was going by (which cuts off the walk to DD). It finished going by right as I was coming out of the laundromat, and the same thing happened as I was leaving DD.
-According to the IRS, I'm scheduled to get my taxes back tomorrow. That was crazy fast.
-I found out they're having an Erotic Open Mic in Manchester tomorrow. An event that really speaks to me! I was asked if I could cover a shift Friday night, but my manager says since I had planned this first, he doesn't care if I'm an hour or so late. (!)
-Mitt Romney dropped out! You could probably cut my arm off right now, and I'd still be happy for that!
