Ok, so I was waiting for the bus at the train station, wanting to get home quickly after a long day of school, when this kid...yes kid, is like, "Hey, um, can I talk to you?" I gave no confirmation, but he didn't wait for me. "You see, my brother wanted to holla at you, but he's kinda shy. Yeah, he's down there *out of view*, and he sent me up here to just, you know, talk to you a bit." The bait. He wasn't so bad looking, wouldn't date him, but I suppose he was alright at first glance. But of course, there's got to be more than looks to go with it. We talked.
So my mom taught me to be polite to strangers. Life taught me to be suspicious. So I was politely suspicious when his "brother" stepped up. The switch. "Hey, how ya doin?" He says. I'd be doing better if my bus came right about now, I think. "Fine." I smirk. I don't judge a book by it's cover but...XD okay, maybe sometimes I do, but if I get proven wrong, I change my mind. I wasn't proven wrong. OH GAWD, he wasn't distinctly hideous but, lame personality mixed with a strange unattractiveness just made him downright unappealing. I would have taken Park Myungsoo over him. Shit, at least Park Myungsoo is funny.
He introduces himself. Didn't catch his name, didn't care. Apparently, he's my age, goes to college too. Doesn't look the type at all, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe some college was kind enough to accept the poor slob. He talks some more. "I'm a gangsta, just so you know." He says. Honestly, if you have to tell me, you're probably not. "Oh look, she's blushing!" His slightly more attractive friend says. Poor dear, doesn't know the difference between a blush and supressing a laugh. His buddy continues, "Are you always this shy?" Yeah, pretty much. I tell him that. "I bet boys be tryna holla at you all the time." I reply, "No, not really." You're the first morons this year to try, congratulations!
Then, well...I have to admire him for his boldness, if nothing else. He goes in for the kill.
"Can I have your number?" He asks.
"I don't talk on the phone much." I reply, quite truthfully.
"That's alright." Man, this guy is desperate.
"I don't have a cell phone."
"I can call you at home." Shit, he just won't give up.
At this point, I'm praying to whatever higher power there may be that they're not "going my way".
I give him the number. It's not like I have to talk to him, even if he does call, I think to myself.
"Can I have your e-mail too?" Holy hell, this guy is not kidding.
Gave him the one all the spam and other internet fodder goes to. I check it occasionally.
"Well, we have to go catch our bus, see you around."
SWEET MERCY! They're not getting on my bus! OH GOD THANK YOU!
So my mom says he called yesterday. And today. She said if he calls again, she's handing me the phone. I told her that if he calls again, I'll pick it up. And start speaking Korean. XD
