Welcome to my humble little profile here at the sometimes frustrating, mostly cracktastic, yet somehow still endearing (to me anyways) fan fiction dot net. The name's Sirena-Lune, though you can call me SL for short if you wish. You could also call me Tlazohtzin or even yolihuani! You can call me anything you want, in fact, as long as it's fairly obvious you're referring to me and it's all in good fun. However, if you happen to know my RL first name I insist you refrain from shortening it in any way, shape or form. If you do, I'm afraid I'll have to track you down and kill you. XP My middle name, on the other hand, has been used and abused so many times I'm kind of hoping someone can come up with something new for a change. XDD
To warn you ahead of time, my profile might be a bit on the long side, so please don't be afraid to click the “hide bio” link if you just want to get to the good stuff. Don't worry; no one will know. ;D
Don't think, however, that I'll abuse this space with an overabundance of quotes and the like. I can promise that much (though not much else, unfortunately).

I refuse to make a list of my favorite or least favorite pairings and/or characters. I love them all (more or less) equally, and even preferences can change. I will, however, use this moment to declare my undying love for Armstrong of FMA fame.
Anyway, when it comes to my fic writing I've noticed that most of my ideas tend to lean on the AU side. A very, very strange AU side... I can turn a futuristic post-apocalyptic anime and inject it with a healthy dose of sci-fi drama and politics. A funny Romantic Comedy about humans can turn into a funny Romantic Comedy about dogs. And still work. I believe that your average shonen fighting manga can focus on the dark and insane and that a kids' show can be bittersweet. I'm not afraid to obliterate a canon pairing in order to write about none. I'm not afraid to write modern-era fic and give it plot. One that doesn't focus on romance. I believe that with a little bit of research and imagination you can even make a chibi!fic and band!fic work.
I also like writing future! and past! fics. Most of them, though, have a bit of a depressing bent to them. I'm not afraid to kill off my characters when the story demands. I will, however, cry. A lot. Unrequited love can be painfully bittersweet and I use that to my advantage. The death of a loved one can kill you inside and either bring people apart, or closer. A love triangle is rarely clean, cut, and simple and can bring two stubborn friends apart. Your first love isn't necessarily your last. And just because you married twice, doesn't mean you didn't love both of your spouses. Romantic love isn't the only type there is.
I would like to warn you ahead of time that I write Original Characters. I try my best to make them believable and well rounded, but I'd figure it'd be better to let you know now and not later. They are likely to be a big part of the fic, so I'll try to warn you ahead of time when that happens. I occasionally pair up canon characters with these OCs, but like I said, I'll warn you ahead of time. The only thing I can promise about said original characters is that they will not bitch-ify or demonize a canon character and vice versa.
I am largely self-beta'd. I mean, I'm likely to spend a week going over my work before I send it to someone to look over. I pride myself on my writing and will try my best to bring you quality fic. While I do love feedback and am a self-dubbed “review whore”, I write mainly for my friends and myself. That doesn't mean others won't enjoy reading it. It just means that I write for my own self-gratification. Oh, and to get rid of the plot-bunnies.
So... Umm... I hope you enjoy reading my stories and continue to come back to SL Publications for quality fic!

Oh, and while looking for my old profile, I found an old fic of mine. I'm gonna see what I'll do about going over it. It seemed pretty good for being so old and spur of the moment. Ahh, I remember those days when I could just write... Alas.
