a lot on my mind.
the next two months are going to be very, very expensive. observe:
security deposit + 1/2 of june's rent = $900 (and another $900 from the roommate)
bed (mattress/box spring/frame) = $600
dining room set (cost to be halved) = $650
pretty pretty flat screen TV (cost to be halved) = $lots (at least $750)
the most beautiful and giant dresser ever = $1200ish
and THEN rent. and THEN utilities. THEN whatever else i'm going to need. holy hell this is going to be a lot of money. i may have to sell off a kidney or something.
in any case, i bought (or at least ordered) my bed last night. it's a big sonofabitch queen-sized thing with the softest top thing ever. it's going to be AWESOME and GIANT, and the sales guy cut me a huge deal ($250 off!) and then asked me out for drinks.
...and then i got home and my mom was hanging out in the living room, wearing her wig for the first time. it's a very similar cut/style to what she always wears, but it's just...very different to see her in it. she went to take it off later on, and just....handfuls of hair fell out.
and then she cried. and i cried. and my sister cried. because when your rock of a mom cries, there is nothing else to do but cry with her.
she will probably be totally bald today.
