epiphanies, i haz them
i was just wandering around the apartment a while ago and i thought to myself, "this has been a really good summer so far". who saw that one coming?
probably at least one of you. ;-p
so, doing laundry and a bit of chilling before i run errands. we had a crazy ass thunderstorm roll thru here last night. tons of lightning and big rumbly thunders and, apparently, seven inches of rain. SEVEN? really? expressways flooded and public transport swamped, looking literally like rivers. it's a steely grey morning, with a little rain shower every now & then, kinda dublin-y actually.
went out last night with jennifer & jill last night. we started at rockwell's and ended up eating at cafe art down the road. we drank alot, we laughed alot. it's funny how we ended up being such good friends. but that's one good thing i can take away from this job. i got home around 11 and promptly crashed. it's hitting me, how tired i am. oh well, one more week of craziness ahead. then one of these mornings, i'm going to wake up in new mexico. with mourning doves on the fence and endless blue skies above me.
eileen & doug took the train from albuquerque, they were supposed to arrive this afternoon around 3:00, but just got a text that they're not likely to be here before 6, so, yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay. now i can stop rushing around and maybe just relax a bit? maybe? maybe! and then tonight will be fun, cuz, hello. me + eileen + doug always = fun.
