The team of people who saved Winter's life reassemble in the wake of her surrogate mother's passing in order to find her a companion so she can remain at the Clearwater Marine Hospital.
Thoughts
First, let me start by saying I loved the first movie. It is one of those heartwarming animal movies like Big Miracle. It is about humans doing everything in their power to save one of God's creatures from dying. That in of itself is beautiful.
Second, this movie isn't like that. This movie seemed like just a way to capitalize on the success of the first movie. It is essentially a Free Willy 2. Yes, Winter faced this dilemma when her surrogate mother died. But this tale was slow to start and not filled with the passion and conflict the first movie had.
A small child might actually enjoy this movie though more likely end up bored and bothering you to watch the first one.
I wouldn't bother with this movie.
