not from last nights episode and thanks
beeejOMG I loved it. Did you hear all the references to Firefly? It was epic....
Beckett: “There’s been a murder here.”
Castle: “Here atSuperNovaCon? Shiny.”
Castle (talking about Nebula 9): “They were canceled over a decade ago after 12 episodes (which was 12 episodes too many).”
Castle: “I’m a fan of good sci-fi: Star Trek, Battlestar, that Joss Whedon show…”
Castle: “Some guys have no business commanding a spaceship.” (which, I assume, is a takes-one-to-know-one comment)
Nebula 9 Characters:
Captain Max Renard - Captain Mal Reynolds
Lt. Chloe - Zoe
F.O. Tate - (Simon and River) Tam
Lt. Shane - Jayne
Commander Walsh - Wash
Creavers - evil alien race from Nebula 9, “nasty creatures that will eat your face off when you’re still alive, and then serve your organs to their young”
Then there was the reference to the planet Ariel on Nebula 9 which is actually the name of a Firefly episode.
I really loved that Jonathan Frakes was a total fan boy to Richard Castle, but I have to admit I didn't recognize him at first.
And then there where the guest stars: Armin Shimerman (Star Trek: Deep Space 9, Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Ed Quinn (Eureka), Erin Way (Alphas) and Christina Moore (True Blood). In addition to these actors, we also get to see Chris McKenna (an actor who played Joey Buchanan -- just like Nathan Fillion -- on One Life to Live) and the episode's director, Jonathan Frakes (Star Trek: The Next Generation).
The episode was funny, entertaining, and lighthearted. It did lack a little of the darkness that Castle clearly contains at times but I don't even care, I love it so much.
