25 Days of Christmas: Decorating Cookies
One of my favorite things to do around Christmas is decorate Christmas cookies with kids. It is still fun when you are an adult but there is added magic when a kid is involved. Years ago, I did it with my nieces who are now 27 and 22. They both still love doing it. Brit (who is the 27 year old) has passed this tradition on to her kids who have already decorated cookies this year. We typically do it when we would visit our Grandma Phyl's house in December but she's in her 90s and has cancer so she's bedridden. There is no decorating cookies there anymore. The last couple of years we haven't managed it to Savannah's dismay (she's the 22 year old) but Brit keeps going.

Sadly, things have been way too busy to do them this year, so far. Maybe we will before Christmas but if not then maybe next year. We don't do the baking because we aren't good at this part. So we buy the ones you can just decorate out of a box. It's fun and less stressful.
