Ahhhhhhhh AtaDan. You always managed to be better with the subs, no matter how delighted I get with the raw.
I really loved the argument they had at the dining table. Fuu and his reasonings. XD And I nearly died of laughter when Takeru and Satoru had their weird argument. Seto Koji's great at rolling his rs. The accent wasn't lost on me.
And I'm beginning to really really like Masaru and Satoru as BFFs. It's Masaru and Satoru, Fuu and Sho, Takeru and Akira, from what I understand. Though Takeru also has this thing with Sho--he seems to get upset when Sho doesn't confide in him.

I also finally, finally got to watch the first episode of Boss.
Um, whoa. Main lady is hot lady. I thought so from the promos and the photos but onscreen... wow. I blinked in disbelief when the guy said she's supposed to be 40. I hope I look like that at 40. Haha yeah right. The whole cast is hot, though.
And call me what you want, but I celebrate every every time she metaphorically castrates people. You can tell I have issues...
Mizobata Junpei's adorkability factor just went up by 50 points. Sometimes his wide-eyed baby-faced rookie cop act can get a bit annoying, but there's a big enough ensemble cast to make it plain humorous and balanced. And he's just so cute.
And I'm really happy Toda Erika got a different character this time around. I had this bad feeling that she was going to do another Code Blue type when I saw the poster, but thankfully that isn't the case.
I kind of have a few problems already with the show, which may be due to the fact that I hyped myself up over it, but here I go anyway:
1) They do the sort of fast-paced, stylistic camera angles and shots that are sometimes kinda cool but can sometimes get annoying. I can understand why they do it, but I sometimes really can't stand it--you should have seen the mood I was in after watching Bloody Monday. And... yeah... special effects. I've said this before, but I can't understand why a people so good with technology can have such tacky special effects.
2) I'm all for competence from the main lady but her some of her profiling was a tad bit too good. Like, Charlie's Angels too good--it's slightly farfetched how she reads into things that accurately. Maybe this is just to amp up her first episode impression, but it didn't work for me in some scenes.
3) And this is a shallow complaint, but I wanted them to be better dressed. XD Don't kill me. I've seen some really beautiful professional attire for women before, so I don't know what Eriko is doing in those dowdy things. I guess they want to highlight that she's 40 years old. But come on. You can look great at forty--she's proof!
Did I mention that I really like how the police wear suits over there? I have this thing where I think it's better to look professional when you're, you know, a professional. Anyway, I didn't know this before, and Kurosagi confused the heck out of me when a million guys in suits dog-piled on him in that last episode...
(And what's wrong with being straight and wearing Dolce & Gabbana at the same time, I ask you?)
But on the whole, it's piqued my interest--so for now I'm sticking to it!
