Hi, after a very long time away from this site I was recommended to post here some stories I've been writing for my English classes (it is not my native language so I am still learning).
I think it is a great idea to keep track of my stories and keep them organized.
So, next is my first short story

"Are we there yet?" The boy asked his father.
"Not yet Mathew we will be there in a minute so calm down" The father replied.
"I'm so excited, dad, I've been waiting for this day all week" continued Mathew without being able to control his excitement.
"OK, here we are" said his father as he parked the car right outside the pet store.
They walked through the front door and the store's clerk greeted them "Welcome. How can I help you?".
"We are here to get Sam" said the boy looking at the inside of the store as if he wanted to take everything home. "Sam?" asked the store's clerk who didn't know anyone named Sam working at the store. "It will be his new pet" ,said his father seeing the puzzled face of the store's clerk, "Oh, I understand," he replied.
"Dad!" called the boy, "I've found Sam". "OK, I'm coming" his father said as he walked towards the place where Mathew was standing.
"Can we take him home now, Dad?" said Mathew looking intently at his father.
"But, it's a ferret" said the his father looking at the animal in the cage, "Are you sure you don't want a dog or a cat? It will be a big responsibility and a lot of work".
"Yes, Dad, I'm sure" said the boy with a serious look in his face.
"OK, let's go talk to the clerk and then we can take Sam home with us", said his father taking his son by the hand and walking towards the clerk.
