good afternoon from sunny london.
its absolutely beautiful here today.
everything really seems like its really looking up.
we met up with evelyn last night and let me tell you,
it was great to see a familiar face.
after a bunch of not-so-good things happening.
for instance, all of the rain, all of the aimless wandering,
the difficulty of street-performing, and worst of all,
my wallet was lost or stolen two nights ago.
it had all of my money in it,
besides the ten pound deposit for our room.
so great conversations and free beers and cigarettes
with evelyn really made my night.
we hung out at the bar until a little after close.
evelyn kindly tried her hardest to find us a place to sleep with her friends,
but it didn't happen.
we hung out in a park all day waiting for her to get off work,
and we sat there and thought about whether we would be able to
sleep there undetected without getting robbed.
so when we left the bar we went there, and crawled under some bushes,
and layed down.
but just before we fell asleep we looked up and saw
what looked like tens of pigeon silhouettes sleeping in the dark above us.
we were just about to leave, because we did not want to wake up
with the white proof that they were indeed pigeons,
when travis got out his flashlight and we saw that they were all just leaves.
so we went to sleep until sunrise,
then had a cup of coffee, and started walking.
we're leaving for amsterdam tomorrow.
we plan on getting jobs and staying there for a while,
so we can save to go to all the other places we really want to see.
but we'll see what the future holds.
